I agree with Mr.Evans, this article is clear evidence a clueless editor.

Is there nothing alse to write about other than "Energy Drinks contain caffeine, they will keep you awake"

It says so on the label !

The article is also full of misconceptions due mostly to horrendous eating habits.

Pizza with... what ? Anybody please surf the web, see what Pizza is like where it was born and perfected, and see what your restaurants contraband as pizza... ugh...

Of course, with a double topping of pepperoni salami and chili etc. anybody is bound to get heartburn !

Try an original Italian Marinara (not the Pizza Hut equivalent) and ask yourself how tomato sauce and oregano can keep you awake !

Next time somebody writes about foods, they should make sure they're talking about FOOD, not tarnished, industrial wannabees.

Did anyone realize that on the page on energy drinks taurine was referred to as an amino acid! It is a stimulant but for goodness sake get you bio-molecules straight!!! Taurine is NOT an amino acid.

Dahhh! everyone knows that ENERGY drinks keeps us awake but we have to give the author of this article props for acknowledging the fact that even though we drink energy drinks early in the day it affects us "later on" when we go to sleep.

I almost didn't see the messages about this article, but it's good to know others feel the same as I did when I read about how it's a good idea to not dring energy drinks if I want to go to sleep. They should have put over the counter drowsy medications in the article about thing that cause people to sleep. Though this would have made a very well written report in grades 4-5

of course energy drinks keep you awake! thats why they have the word ENERGY in the title. whoever wrote this article should be imediatly fired for writing something my 2-year old cousin already knows.

At first I thought the part about energy drinks was a bit...obvious (they're called energy drinks so one should make the connection that you become energetic after drinking one).  Then I thought about some of the dumb stuff that I experience in a single day as a result of the average american: yesterday alone I was within a tenth of a second of being in a wreck with three separate drivers who were staring mindlessly at their phone while operating what is, in essence, a bomb on wheels; A middle aged customer came into my place of employ (a sub shop), and had to ask to make sure that a 12 inch sub is the same as a footlong (the answer is no, we measure inches in the southern European style whilst measuring feet in the obscure and oft missed system of the Gobi desert, just to be interesting); On the way out of the shop at the end of the night I witnessed a drunk man (there's a bar down the way) attempting to use his cell phone as a car clicker, failing, then smashing the cell into the ground declaring it useless and falling into a fit of rage when he tried to call his wife for a ride.  SOooo I can fairly well understand why "captain duh" felt the need to state the energy drink thing so plainly.  Props to the Captain, for trying to improve the life of Average Joe.

I have friend that passed away last week from sleep apnea...it is a very serious problem!

And I agree that the list was completely stupid and completely obvious!

I did however enjoy the foods that help you sleep...
