I simply cannot live without my cpap. I experienced sleep deprivation for almost 10 years before I got it, life is good, and sleep makes it good. I'd rather sleep with my cpap than sleep like crap!

to rdesnorman, reading these post have probable clued you in to cpaps but see you doctor now. they will or refer you to a doctor who can order you a sleep study, then proceed to have you fited for a mask or breathing aparatis with a cpap machine to start sleeping better. dont worry once you do this and work with it, you will soon remember a good night sleep. stick with it, it took me 6mos then bam 5yrs later working wonders. however over time you may need another study to adjust for any changes in your breathing habits. i am there now i need to retest and upgrade to a smaller machine. please try it it does work

A CPAP machine is a box with a tube attached to your nose that continually blows air into the nose all night, so you don't lose the oxygen and can sleep uninterrupted. They are sometimes loud and noisy fans, and always you are hooked to the tube. Many can sleep very well with the machines, though, and their lives come right back to them with its use.

I tried the "Krap" machine - $4500 for the study/machine looked like Darth Vader, scared the hell our ot the mailman and almost smothered to death when I turned on my back.

From December 1999 to September 2000, I engaged in an exercise-and-diet program, and I went from 284 lbs. to 175 lbs., and I have maintained the weight loss since then. My snoring problem went away too.
