A vast majority of individuals suffer from some form of headache. The Tension headache is the most common and cause moderate pain due to muscle contractions. Migraines are painful, throbbing headaches that last from 4 to 72 hours. When you have a migraine, it may be so painful that you are not able to follow your normal routine or do your usual activities. Mixed headaches are a combination of Tension and Migraine headaches. A rare occurring and very painful headache is known as the Cluster headache. Cluster headaches will attack several times throughout the day and last weeks to months. Cluster headache pain is generally located behind one eye and constantly throbs. Another well known headache is the Sinus headache. Sinus headaches typically occur with other sinus symptoms and cause a deep pain in your forehead and nose.

Some headaches can be treated with medications, but there are natural remedies such as ice packs, pressure on the area of pain and remaining quiet and still in a dark room. Reducing stress in your daily life and utilizing relaxation methods can also help in preventing or reducing the occurrence of headaches.
