Heartburn Triggers

Eating too much or bending forward after eating sometimes causes heartburn symptoms such as a sour taste in the mouth. If you get heartburn or suffer from other kinds of digestive health problems, avoiding heartburn foods and eating small, frequent meals can help. But having heartburn doesn't necessarily mean you have GERD, or gastroesophageal reflux disease. With GERD, acid reflux and heartburn symptoms last longer and come more often, and may require medical treatment.
